Contributing Organizations

This part of the web is being developed and the wonderful contributions of numerous groups are being gathered and approved by their governing boards.  

BRIEFLY  

The Conservation Resource Alliance or CRA has been a major vehicle for improvements of the Pine River.  They cut the red tape, hire the folks, often raise the funds while keeping a low profile.  see http://www.rivercare.org/

The Pine river Chapter of Trout Unlimited has been at the forefront of efforts to improve fishing in our stream.  They have provided trout structure for many years, worked with Pine River Association members to locate a site for the Sand Trap, and provided initial funding to set up the sand trap.  We hope to have TU board member names and a small web page available in the near future.

Mark Tonello fisheries biologist for the DNR works through the politics, cuts the red tape, shows up when needed and shares our passion for the Pine River.  While we can't list the entire DNR as being friends of the Pine, Mark Tonello has been one of the best friends the Pine River has ever known.
